While studying in communications, I learned a lot about myself as a communicator and how I can better communicate with my family, friends, coworkers, and those I meet every day. I learned what kind of communicator I was and what I need to work on, such as making sure I am listening to what someone is saying and not think of what I am going to say as they talk. I learned how to deal with situations that may not be appropriate for work and how to work as a team with my classmates. I have then taken that knowledge into my work place, to work as a team more fully with my coworkers to provide the best care that I can for my patients at the hospital. I also learned how to enter an interview and how to conduct an interview. To have confidence as I go in and to research the place that I apply. Studying communications has helped me a lot and I hope to continue to strengthen my communication skills.
